great video really works! July 13, 2008 ok this video is a little bit outdated but i like it, it looks better than the sterile white boring backgrounds of current videos. the work out is challenging but after a while it gets easier to keep up and complete each set. the best thing about it is it really creates results!!
BEST WORKOUT!!! April 9, 2008 First...this is a great workout. Yes, it is 80's...but it is really humorous. It is the best workout for your butt and thighs...you will be sore! My question is when are they going to put this on DVD?
I LOVE this workout! March 31, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm glad I took the advice of the many great reviews on Amazon and bought this video (used.) It's a great, effective workout with substance, and easy to stick with. You often don't find this in more recent workout DVD's. I'd say it's one of the best workout tapes I own.
It works every muscle in your thighs and butt, plus some ab work. Some of the moves are excruciatingly hard, but it's working when you feel the burn. The workout is safe, easy on your back and joints, and doesn't require complicated dance moves (lucky for me, I'm so uncoordinated!)
I know it's really cheesy, made in 1987 with it's 80's music, headbands, legwarmers, the guy with Jheri curl in his hair, full makeup and mall hair on the girls, but that's what I love about it. Between that and hearing, "Reach for the stars!" and Greg Smithey's other cheesy ecouragements, you can LAUGH your butt off while blasting your glutes. Otherwise, just turn down the sound and listen to your IPod.
I'm going to have to have this converted to a DVD.
Make a List March 18, 2008 I solved two problems: Annoyance factor and tape wear. Went carefully through the tape and wrote down the floorwork exercises, with my own names for the movements plus a brief description. Typed them into a list, printed it out, put it into a plastic page protector. Now I do the exercises on my bed (easy on the knees) with music of my choice. So much more pleasant. Will only refer to the tape occasionally to check my form.
Buns of Steel March 17, 2008 I remember this video from the first time I tried it. It was hard when I was in shape and it will be hard to re-visit it. I also remember trying it with a few hockey players and they could not finish it and they use their legs and glutes all the time. It was almost hillarious. I only remember this video as the most toning of all. You do not get out of breath, your legs singe. If you are looking for pure toning video not assocaited with hype and celebrity, this is the video for you. You gotta like the price as well.
