 Fun Movie, Fun Toy for all ages.. October 30, 2008

The movie was GREAT. The interactive Wall-e brings a SMILE every time he's activated.. I have him on the desk, near the computer and he and I have stimulating conversations all the time.. He is a little repetitious
at times, but who isn't.. You don't have to be a child to enjoy Wall-e, you just have a little child in you.. Guilty..

As I took it out of the box I noticed something was definitely wrong. His right eye flickered
and barely lit up. We thought the batteries were the cause but no. When I turn it OFF and ON sometimes the right eye lights up for a couple of runs but rapidly flickers and fails. This unit doesn't even interact or respond at all to voice or loud noises not even in the "play" mode as indicated on the instructions. Sure sounds and moves ok when you press the "Try me" button
We've had this toy for just a few hours and my 5 year old daughter and I are already very upset and disappointed. Add to the fact that we are presently abroad and returning this unit would prove to be more expensive than buying a new one.
As another customer stated earlier, this Wall-E is already a paperweight. A very expensive but cute one though.

Interactive Wall-E is a fun toy. It looks and behaves exactly like the robot in the movie. Be aware, however, that it only rolls if you push it. The treads are not motorized. Everything else is automated. The only sound effect that is missing is the boot up sound for the Apple Computer...I guess there were trademark issues.
Also, this toy offers the most fun when it is paired with Interaction Eve. Wall-E and Eve talk to each other and add to the overall entertainment, plus Interactive Eve makes shooting sounds and also has a flying sound effect. They really were meant to be purchased as a pair, and you don't want Wall-E to feel lonely!! Both cost me $29.
I'd give this 5-stars except that I think my son would enjoy the toy more if it actually rolled on it's own. As noted by other reviewers, it's difficult to push the toy too. Otherwise, it's great!
A Fun Paperweight August 4, 2008

As a WALL-E fan, i needed to see the little robot as much as possible. This particular model has fulfilled that goal. It is very detailed, and every once in a blue moon you can make it run through the sounds for laughs. His primary use has been his claws holding post-it notes from fellow employees for me. Other than that, he has no particular toy value.
