Well worth the investment August 18, 2008 So far so good... I have had this product for about a month now and used it six or seven times and my one and four year olds love it. Having the two slides and wadding pool is perfect for kids of that age. I read the horror story reviews and almost did not buy it but I could not justify spending $100 more to rent one and only use it one day. Based on the bad reviews and my own experience the two things you can do to make this product last - 1. make sure it's completely full of water before using - 2. limit and or closely supervise large/rough kids. With only 3-4 feet from the base of the slide to the wall it would not take much end your slide fun. As I said So far So good my family has realy enjoyed this slide...Hope this helps
Mixed feelings August 17, 2008 This inflatable is great fun, easy to inflate....not the problem. To dry this and put it up as recommended is virtually impossible. We live in New Orleans where it rains sometimes everyday and is so humid 99% of the time. During a dry spell of a few days we dryed it off in the sun and with towels, then, flipped it every day to dry out on all sides and then folded it up. Two weeks later got it out to use and it had black mold on the colorful new slide and pool sides. A 10% bleach solution diminished the mold, but I don't know about you but all the work of drying it and still having a problem takes the fun out of it for me. Any drier climate should be fine. I haven't been able to put a $figure on this but seems like we use alot of water and electricity. We have had it for only 3 mos now so I will review again next summer for its durability.
Great purchase! August 16, 2008 We have a 11, 9, and 3 years old. They love it; especially our 3 year old. We've had it for over a month; and have left it out in the rain. The product ,so far, is holding up very well. Their friends love to come over. Renting a water slide for a couple of hours per day is about $200-$250. So, I figure that we saved money, if we could use this just 3 times. The only negative is that we have a dead patch of grass, when we put up the slide. It's really our fault, since we were too lazy to move the slide around.
lots of Banzai fun August 15, 2008 Easy to assemble. The water hoses could fit better. My boys and their friends ages 8 yrs to 13yrs [some were heavy set kids]had brillant, endless fun, so it was very durable. Lots of Banazi fun..............ENJOY!!!!
A great idea for a slide, but needs to be manufactored better August 14, 2008 I bought a Banzai slide last year and my kids loved it so much that this year I decided to upgrade it to the Banzai Falls slide. Well, it's a good thing I bought the first Sidewinder Falls slide from Target. They have a 90 day no questions asked guarantee. After only one month of use (about 15 days of use really) The slide started to come apart at the seems. I called the 1-800 # on the box of the slide and they were of no help at all. They said that I needed to fax them a copy of my receipt then they would call me and tell me which part of my slide that I was going to have to cut off to send to them, then after they received the piece from me that they would send me a replacement slide. I decided that since I was responsible for getting rid of the 90 lbs broken slide. I decided that I would just take it back to Target and let them deal with it instead. I then decided to buy this slide from Amazon. It was pretty much the same slide with water blasters attached to the slide and it came with a fun pack. Not to mention it was cheaper than the original slide I purchased at Target. I thought that I had just gotten a bad slide since my slide that I bought from the same company last year worked just fine. Well, I got this slide yesterday and put it up today. Only to notice that the water hose attachments don't work right and then noticed that one of the slides seams was already starting to come undone and we hadn't even used it yet. I guess it was a missed seam. If this slide didn't keep my kids entertained by doing something other than playing video games I wouldn't bother, but I am now in the process of getting a replacement slide from Amazon. I'm only worried about having to send this slide back. Amazon sent me a shipping label, but I'm not sure how I'm suppose to fit this slide into a box to ship it back. The manufacturing company on this product is horrible before I noticed the seam ripping I called the company about getting a replacement hose. They won't even overnight them to you for free. They told me it is going to take 5-7 days to get my replacement hoses. The manufacturer only guarantees the slide itself for 90 days. The blower is only guaranteed for 6 months. They sucker you into this fun product. Have you kids get used to it and brag to their friends about having it so they their friends will want to come over to play on it then they don't back the product up so that either you have a big head ache of trying to get it replaced or your out a lot of money from having a slide that doesn't last throughout the summer. I hope this helps you not introduce this product to your kids.
